Bio
Photographer and producer Tommy Baynard is on a 15-year adrenaline rush, traveling the globe shooting photos, video and HD content of high-impact, high-visibility events for television, documentaries and adventure sports. Tommy captures the action and delivers on every project—from the most challenging athletic events to the hottest Hollywood shows. His diverse experience includes developing original story concepts and executing on-set production to scouting locations and leading crew logistics. He has also served as technical consultant and director of photography.
Tommy’s professional associations include National Geographic, Discovery Channel, ESPN, MTV, ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. He has captured critical moments during the X-Games, Gravity Games, America’s Cup, Eco-Challenge and the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Some of his less gritty, more glam gigs were on television productions such as “Wipeout,” “The Apprentice,” “Contender” and “Baby Borrowers.”
When Tommy is not behind the camera, he operates an Encinitas, Calif.-based production company. By accessing a deep network of experienced, creative people and production staff, Tommy can custom fit a crew for any client’s project—anywhere in the world. Plus, the company is focused on producing ground-breaking content of its own and has several concepts in development.
His passion for story-driven, visually compelling content comes from his own dedication to a high-energy lifestyle. Earlier in his career, he was an instructor for Outward Bound survival school and a race director for the Eco-Challenge television series. Today, Tommy continues to push his limits mountain biking, rock climbing, motorcycling, surfing and exploring the road less traveled. |
